Over a 2-year span, I collaborated with the Archdiocese of Detroit to photograph Catholics sharing their experiences with Eucharistic Adoration—a Catholic devotional practice where people pray and worship before the consecrated Eucharist, or Blessed Sacrament, to spend time with Jesus Christ. Each person either wrote about their experience, or were recorded for a podcast, which can all be found at IamHere.org, along with my images.

This was a bold and ambitious undertaking, for me personally, but one that I’m continuously thankful for. I had the pleasure of meeting around 100 people, hearing their stories first-hand; the highs and the lows. I’ve laughed with people, I’ve cried with people. I’ve been invited into their homes, and sat on their favorite pews. It truly was an honor, and one that I hope continues to have impact amongst communities of faith and beyond.
